Psygil is a desktop application. There is no anonymous download, no trial captcha, and no browser-only version that skips the attestation chain. After purchase, your license key and platform installers are sent to the email you register. Activation takes about a minute.

Pick a tier and write us
Choose Solo, Practice, or Enterprise on the pricing page. The button opens an email to sales@psygil.com with the tier pre-filled. Reply with the name and email address the license should be registered to.
Receive your license email
The same business day, you receive an email with your license key and signed download links for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Keep the email. Your key is the only thing that activates the app.
Install and activate
Download the installer for your operating system. Launch Psygil. Paste your license key at first run. The app verifies the key once, then runs offline for the life of the license. Open your first case.

Native installers for the three operating systems forensic clinicians actually use
macOS
Universal installer for Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel. Signed and notarized. Gatekeeper approved. Installs to /Applications.
Windows
Signed MSI installer. Runs without administrator rights after the initial install. Integrates with the Windows credential store for license key persistence.
Linux
AppImage for portable use, or a .deb for Debian, Ubuntu, and derivatives. Tested on Ubuntu 22.04, Fedora 40, and Debian 12.
Each seat can be activated on one workstation at a time. Reassign a seat to a new machine by writing to support with your license key.

Your license key
A single alphanumeric key tied to the tier you purchased. Store it the way you store any production credential. The key activates every seat under your license, per-workstation, one at a time.
Platform installers
Signed download links for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Links expire after 30 days. Lost or expired link? Write to support with your key and we reissue.

Answers to the questions clinicians ask first
Do I need an internet connection?
Only to activate the license and to call the remote AI model provider for the Writer, Editor, Ingestor, and Diagnostician agents. Intake, testing, interviews, PII detection, and the audit log run without network. If you disconnect during case work, the app keeps working and queues nothing to a remote server because there is no Psygil server for case data.
Do I need my own model API key?
Yes. Psygil uses your Anthropic, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI key. You paste it into the app on first configuration, and the app stores it in your operating system's secure credential store. API costs go directly to the model provider, not to Psygil.
Where are case files stored?
In a workspace folder on your machine. You pick the folder during setup. Local disk, an encrypted volume, or a network share you control. Psygil never copies case files off your device.
What about updates?
Minor updates and bug fixes are free for the life of your license. Major version upgrades are offered as a separate upgrade purchase at a discount for existing license holders. You are never forced to update. Your purchased version keeps running.
I lost my email. How do I recover my license key?
Write to support@psygil.com from the email address on the original purchase. We verify the account and reissue the key and download links.
